What piece of advice would you give to your younger self? 

Stay curious and proactive in enhancing your skills, believe in yourself and follow your passion.

What’s that one thing that you can’t live without?

Music and my family are two essential elements in my life that give me immense joy and meaning, making them indispensable parts of who I am.

Your career highlight to date? 

 I had the opportunity to provide training at an esteemed academy, where I implemented efficient and effective strategies to optimize the learning process.

How did you get into the industry? 

Thanks to a wonderful friend, I discovered the fascinating world of visual effects. Learning Photoshop and discovering the joy of manipulation of images opened a whole new world to me. As a result of conversations with friends, I learned about the incredible field of visual effects. My passion for bringing imagination to life through stunning visual effects drives me to keep learning and growing.

What would your DREAM project involve? 

As a VFX supervisor, it is my dream to inspire and empower women, as they are currently underrepresented in the field of VFX.

What’s the best thing about the MPC culture? 

MPC’s collaborative culture is fantastic, and everyone works together effectively. One of the best things about MPC is that it values work-life balance. This makes MPC an excellent place to work, as employees can enjoy both their careers and their personal lives.

Your biggest achievement so far?

 Over the course of my career, I have received numerous awards. A notable one was the “Employee of the Month Award”, which recognized my contributions and dedication to my role in the Roto department. Further, I was honoured with the “Performer of the Fortnight Award” while working in the Preparation department. The most recent recognition I received was the “Spotlight Award”, which recognized my outstanding performance and accomplishments.

Patience and determination.

What’s the best thing about your job? 

 The field of visual effects is ever evolving, so there is always something new to learn. Whether it is mastering a new tool or staying up to date with the latest trends and techniques, working in VFX keeps you creative and motivated to expand your knowledge and skills.

If you weren’t in this role, what would you be doing? 

The idea of working in horticulture is attractive, had I not chosen to become a VFX artist, maybe I’d have pursued that. Having a strong passion for nature and gardening, I find immense pleasure in caring for and nurturing plants.

What can’t you put down? (book, program, app, podcast) 

Reading novels, especially ones that explore mythology, is one of my favourite things to do. It’s impossible for me to put down a book once I’ve started it! Throughout the stories, I find myself taken on incredible journeys, discovering fascinating characters and experiencing enchanting worlds. My love of reading brings me immense joy and opens a whole new world of possibilities.

 Any recent personal goals? 

One of my recent personal goals is to set higher standards for myself and prioritize self-care.

Tell us a humble brag

 In my role as a VFX prep artist, I have been involved in the crucial process of preparing footage for visual effects. It is my responsibility to meticulously clean up and organize the elements, ensuring a seamless integration of CG elements with live action footage. Even though my role may not always be in the spotlight, I find satisfaction in knowing that my work contributes to the final product’s success.

What would your one superpower be? 

I would greatly benefit from the exceptional power of super speed if I could control my time more effectively. I would be able to achieve outstanding results while maintaining a high standard of excellence by leveraging this superpower.

When you’re not working on a project, you can be found… 

 I am continuously seeking to increase my skill set and broaden my knowledge, particularly during periods when I am not actively involved in a project. It is of utmost importance to me to discover and learn new techniques or fields of study that can positively contribute to my professional and personal development.
