1. There was nearly a 5^th ninja turtle: Kirby! The turtle was going to be named after the famous Marvel Comics writer and artist, Jack Kirby.
2. Chuck Lorre and his co-writer Dennis Brown contributed to writing the theme song of the original Turtles cartoon series.
3. When the cartoon first aired, as a result, more children wanted turtles as pets.
4. In the live-action adaptations of the cartoon, it took three people to play one turtle. There were two puppeteers and one person inside the turtle suit.
5. Michael Bay’s turtles were based on celebrities. For examples Leonardo has Russell Crowe’s eyes and Nelson Mandela’s lips. Can you spot the resemblance?
