Technicolor’s The Mill and MPC Are Named Top Two UK Post Facilities in Survey

2019

The Mill’s takes the top spot in the annual Televisual Facilities 50 survey for 11th year running.

For the past 32 years, Televisual’s Facilities 50 survey has been declaring the top 50 post-production facilities in the UK. And for the last 11 of those years, Technicolor’s The Mill has taken the top spot in the exclusive annual survey. Coming in second: MPC, also from the Technicolor family of brands. (All advertising services now merged into one brand, The Mill.)

Televisual is the leading magazine for production executives, producers, directors and all those making moving image content for television, film, commercials, and other digital applications. The Facilities 50 survey ranks each post house on three factors – turnover, producer votes, and the range and scale of services provided.

The Producer Poll, which polls the clients of post facilities, also had The Mill taking the number one spot. Producers voted for The Mill as the “most pioneering and inventive post house” and as a place that delivered “polished, beautiful films.”

“This is a huge achievement and I am so proud of the team,” said Sean Costelloe, Managing Director of The Mill’s London studio. “We have had a great year creatively and this accolade pays testament to the hard work of our artists and the vision of our collaborators who continue to draw on our wide range of expertise in so many different spaces. A big thank you to all of our creative partners and congratulations to all of the other facilities featured.”

Reflecting on the past year, Jonathan Davies, Managing Director of MPC’s London Studio, added, “Our team’s accomplishments in 2019 have been second to none and I am proud that MPC continues to be recognized as a leader in UK post production.”
