The TCS Academy Matchmove Course offers a 15-week comprehensive journey into the intricate world of camera tracking and scene integration. From understanding the fundamentals of parallax and lens distortion to mastering the UI of essential software like 3DEqualizer, Maya, and Nuke, students explore the core principles of matchmoving.
Through hands-on activities such as 2D tracking, lineup with LIDAR scans, and camera solving, participants hone their skills in aligning virtual elements with liveaction footage.
Advanced topics like manual camera tracking in both 3DEqualizer and Maya further elevate their proficiency, while discussions on tools, scripts, and handling rolling shutter effects provide a well-rounded understanding of the craft. Each module culminates in a thorough review and revision, ensuring a deep comprehension of the concepts covered.
Our course material is curated by industry experts and provides students with handson experience using industry-standard software and tools. Upon course completion, students will have a strong foundation in matchmove techniques, preparing them for industry-level work.

We use the Teradici remote desktop client to connect to our Cloud Virtual workstations, which will run on almost any computer with the following operating systems: Windows, macOS and Linux.
You will need at least a 10MB broadband connection (20mb+ recommended).
Our cloud workstations provide all required software and course assets.
