As we shine the torch on our fascinating team, we reveal what working inside Technicolor is like. Simi Kondiyara Nandanan, Senior Manager, Content Security at Technicolor Creative Studios in Bangalore, discusses her role, how she got into the business and her achievements.
What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
Whatever comes your way, good, bad, or ugly, just be yourself and everything will be fine”.
What’s that one thing that you can’t live without?
I can’t live without: On a professional level, receiving ‘recognition’ for my work and on a personal level, receiving love and support from my family.
Your career highlight to date?
From managing projects for media services at Technicolor to security compliance for Technicolor in a Global Role, the shift has been nothing short of adventurous, mountainous (at times), insightful and fascinating. The unique route my career took was something I had never imagined.
How did you get into the industry?
When I first began my career, I knew that I wanted to be a developer. The clients and platforms I worked for as a developer were in the entertainment and media industry, for example Disney, Warner Bros., Universal, etc. Thus began my journey. And here I am today!
What would your DREAM project involve?
In my dream project, I would design, prototype, and deploy a set of pioneering solutions on a global platform to steer the project towards achieving its milestones. I am looking forward to the project being completed and celebrating its grand success in Switzerland!! 😊
What’s the best thing about the Technicolor culture?
At Technicolor, no stone is left unturned when it comes to giving every member the chance to try something totally new. By doing so, the members are able to enhance their perception and abilities, to break down their barriers from within. By giving the members such opportunities and recognitions for their work, they will be able to feel that they are truly valued. In this way, each member will be able to show their best professional qualities.
Your biggest achievement so far
It has been my biggest achievement so far to discover my inner ability to push the limits, work and deliver as a mother (of a 3-year-old) in today’s dynamic and challenging times.

AI’s capabilities may be causing chaos and panic among many creative minds as some of its future capabilities are imagined. The truth might be that AI will remain a man-made invention like currency and nuclear technology. Humans invented them for the benefit of mankind but exploited them for every wrong reason. We must pass the trial of time to see if we have learned from our mistakes in the past to avoid making the same mistakes with AI in the future. Perhaps AI will make the call this time.
What’s the best thing about your job?
Everything Big! Clients, Projects, Talents, Infrastructure, Protocols, Global footprint, Dreams, Vision & Mission, Opportunities….the list goes on!
If you weren’t in this role, what would you be doing?
Probably manage Technicolor’s Business Project Portfolios.
