About the course

The Academy’s Roto-Animation course offers an 8-week comprehensive journey into the world of character animation.

Starting with basic posing and refining the requirements for rigging artists, participants explore 3D space controls and dependencies on downstream departments.

Through practical demonstrations, they learn essential character posing techniques and explore rig understanding and controls. Subsequent modules cover character walk and run cycles, emphasizing keyframe animation principles and the application of roto animation techniques.

Sessions on working with witness cams in Maya and integrating 3D-Equalizer for roto animation further enhance skills. Q&A sessions and assignment feedback ensure a thorough understanding and application of concepts throughout the course.
